The exact scope of the Hayton and Burnby Neighbourhood Development Plan has yet to be finalised although the parish council has not expressed a wish to consider allocating sites for development.

When was the Hayton and Burnby neighbourhood area designated?

The Hayton and Burnby Neighbourhood area was formally designated by the Council on 18 January 2016 following a period of public consultation. A decision record is set out below together with a schedule of responses to the area application.

Was there any consultationon the Hayton and Burnby neighbourhood area application?

Yes. A four-week consultation on the proposed Hayton and Burnby neighbourhood area was held between Monday 23 November and Monday 21 December 2015 so that people living, working and carrying out business in Hayton and Burnby could let us know their views on the proposed area.

All respondents were supportive of designating the proposed boundary as a neighbourhood area or had no comments to make at this stage in the process. The comments received to the consultation, as well as the original application, are set out in the files below:
