The East Riding of Yorkshire Council has established a new small grant fund to support communities across the East Riding which are planning to organise celebratory activities on or around The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee weekend from 2 - 5 June 2022.
All Parish and Town Councils in the East Riding were eligible to apply to the community fund. Parish and Town Councils could apply in partnership with other groups or organisations (e.g. schools, village hall associations) as long as the Parish or Town Council was the lead applicant. Parish and Town Councils were encouraged to disseminate details of the fund and liaise with other interested groups or organisations within their communities before submitting an application.
The Fund has been extremely popular and has supported 126 projects in the East Riding - please see the attached list. The activities supported were not organised by East Riding of Yorkshire Council so please check local information for full details in the event of any changes.

The fund was available to help with the costs of the appropriate related activities (e.g. community events, street decorations, themed artwork, commemorative benches or plaques). Applicants could apply for a maximum of £500 and a minimum of £100 per project. Successful projects must be directly related to The Queen's Platinum Jubilee and demonstrate appropriate community benefit and /or community input.
The Queen's Platinum Jubilee Community Fund was open for applications between 20 January and 29 April 2022 on the Council's Flexi-grant system. It is now closed to applications and all the grant funds have been awarded.
