Castaway Young Musicians
Castaway Sloop (Young Musicians) group has a Saturday morning open door for young people to enjoy making music together, and build confidence and friendships across the transitions from school to college and beyond.  
Led by professional musicians, the group offers opportunities to make your own music, learn an instrument, play and sing, compose, use music technology and optionally take part in performing in the community and meeting up with other groups of young musicians. Specialist support and is available for full participation and access, including additional / complex needs.  Funded by Youth Music.

Who this service is for
Castaway Goole Music Theatre offers a range of high quality arts, music, creative and performing opportunities for young people up to age 25 and adults with learning / physical disability, including complex disability, sensory impairment or autistic spectrum condition. No diagnosis needed.

Yes, if supporting brother or sister. 
Registered service and regulatory body
Castaway youth provision is accredited by East Riding through ERCVYS. Castaway Goole is a registered provider of day opportunities for East Riding and North Yorkshire adult services.
Castaway Young Musicians is funded by Youth Music.

Training acquired to support children and young people with SEND and their families
Castaway is run by experienced education and arts professionals. All activities are delivered by professional artists who are trained in working with people with additional needs, with specialist support workers.

Saturdays (term time only) 10am - 12noon
Cost of service and payment options
After a series of free taster sessions, there’s an annual membership fee of £10 covering all Castaway activities and each group is £3 per session. 
(Fees can be subsidised / waived for those with limited financial resources)

Arts Awards
Castaway Goole is a 2014-15 Arts Award Good Practice Centre. Young people in our groups can opt to work towards Trinity Arts Awards at Discover, Explore, Bronze or Silver levels, gaining accreditation on the National Qualifications Framework.  We host Arts Awards moderations.
