The team ensures that the Local Authority role in exclusions and reintegration procedures is carried out effectively. The team is made up of:
One Exclusion and Reintegration Officers who represents the Local Authority at permanent exclusion hearings, and provide advice to parents and schools in respect of legal timescales and procedures.
An Exclusion and Reintegration Teacher whose primary role is to support the provision of high quality education for children and young people who have been permanently excluded.
A Specialist Parenting Education Welfare Officer who provides planned intervention and intensive support around behaviour management within the family home where a child or young person is at risk of exclusion from school.
The team work with all primary and secondary schools in the East Riding.
