Castaway Youth Theatre

Description

Castaway Youth Theatre is a great opportunity for young people to have fun and make friends, gaining confidence and achievement from making and performing their own drama, music and film.

These weekly sessions and holiday projects are led by professional artists for young people to explore theatre, music and other art forms. Members can choose to perform in shows, sometimes with Castaway Music Theatre, and to work towards Arts Awards (optional). Specialist support is available for full participation and access, including additional and complex needs.

Can be linked to morning Castaway Young Musicians 10am– 3pm.

Arts Awards

Young people up to the age of 25 can work towards an Arts Award at all groups at Castaway Goole, helping to develop leadership, communication and creative skills. Find out more about the national Arts Award. Ask staff about how to sign up.

Staff training and experience

Castaway is run by experienced education and arts professionals. All groups are led by professional artists who are trained in working with people with additional needs, with specialist support workers.

Free taster sessions, followed by charges. Fee subsidies and waivers available.
