LOOK AHEAD is the service in East Riding of Yorkshire for parent carers of children and young people, aged 0-25 years, with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. This service is provided by FISH (Families Information Service Hub).

When you join LOOK AHEAD there are a whole range of benefits available to you! LOOK AHEAD is for every parent carer for a disabled child in the East Riding of Yorkshire. These include: 

  • LOOK AHEAD newsletter: full of information and articles, posted to you every term.
  • LOOK AHEAD bulletin: emailed to you every fortnight, informing you of activities, support groups, events and courses.
  • invitations to events and workshops across the East Riding.
  • Discount cards and much more.

If you register with LOOK AHEAD, you can also apply for the following discount cards:

Passport to Leisure card - this card is for anyone over the age of 18 years old living in the same home as the child/ young person registered for LOOK AHEAD. It allows the holder to 50% discount on some leisure centre activities in all East Riding of Yorkshire Leisure Centres. Activities include swimming, pay as you go gym sessions, exercise classes run by East Riding of Yorkshire Council.

Shop and Save card - this is for the main parent carer of a child or young person registered for LOOK AHEAD. It allows the holder to access some of the staff discounts given to East Riding of Yorkshire Council employees in various businesses across East Riding of Yorkshire, and discount and fast track at various attractions and museums (please look on their websites).
